New Valley is a “Skink-ville”!

The new land has a startling number of skinks!

Several times a day, when moving wood, planting trees, or just walking quietly across the land – these little creatures can be seen sunbathing or following insects.

Their abundance is a testimony to the warmth of the location and effectiveness of the ongoing pest control.

10,000 miles of hard road…

Sounds like a grungy Country & Western song about a relationship doesn’t it? : >

Well we figure that by the time the “Big Move” is completed we’ll have driven about 10,000 miles – about what it would take to drive from NZ to America, if that were possible – and have so far had 7 flat tyres, one broken windshield, one broken towbar, and many other ‘adventures in minature’ to get established on the new property. Phew!!
